ESPN’s annual Black History Month programming continues with daily “Free to Be” vignettes and encore presentations of the network’s award-winning SportsCentury program, as well as archival interviews from Up Close and Schaap One on One.  Highlights for this week include the second of two back-to-back “ESPN Films Weekend” on ESPN Classic, starting with the Secret Game on Friday, Feb. 17, at 10 p.m. ET followed by The Color Orange: The Condredge Holloway Story, at 11 p.m.  The first film goes behind the scenes of a secret game that was arranged in 1944 between the all-white Duke University team and the team from N.C. College for Negroes, now North Carolina Central University.  With the Klan so active in Durham at the time, the game remained a secret, until now.  The second film, produced by country music artist Kenny Chesney, takes a personal look at Chesney’s boyhood idol Condredge Holloway, a black quarterback from the University from Tennessee.  Throughout his college career, Holloway won consecutive Bowl games (972 to 1974) and was one of the top quarterbacks in the NCAA.  Despite his efforts, he was drafted in the 12th round of the 1975 NFL draft by the New England Patriots but never played in the NFL.
