USA Basketball Olympic gold medalists Sue Bird and Seimone Augustus will chat live with fans on espn.com on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively. Augustus and the Minnesota Lynx will face Bird and the Seattle Storm later that evening at 10 p.m. on ESPN2. Gold medalists Lindsey Whalen and Maya Moore of Minnesota, will also play in the contest. Bird will be featured on SportsCenter prior to Tuesday’s game.

Candace Parker of the Los Angeles Sparks — also a gold medalist — will talk about the second half of the WNBA season and her time in London on Monday night’s edition of SportsCenter.

The Lynx will be featured again when they travel to the Atlanta Dream on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m., also on ESPN2.

The second half of the WNBA schedule on ESPN2 includes five games before the postseason tips off on Thursday, Sept. 27. ESPN2 will showcase the majority of the postseason, while ESPN will air a first-round game and ABC will present a Conference Final game. The best-of-five WNBA Finals will begin Sunday, Oct. 14.

A part of the Internal Communications team at ESPN, I began with the network in 2010 as part of the College Sports PR team. Always an avid sports fan and not an athlete – I grew up a huge fan of the Hartford Whalers, while also watching my brother compete at different levels. I became the manager of several high school sports teams and continued that hobby into college. While at Quinnipiac, I worked in the Sports Information Department, which led me to a summer internship at the New Haven Ravens, a AA baseball team, and an eventual job with the Athletic Communications Department at the University of Connecticut. After my five-year stint at Connecticut, I spent six years as Director of Communications at the BIG EAST Conference in Providence, R.I. before joining ESPN.
