ESPN Radio’s Weekend-long College Football Playoff Selection Coverage, Culminating with College Football Selection Show

ESPN Radio will provide weekend-long coverage of the College Football Playoff selections, culminating with ESPN Radio’s College GameDay College Football Selection Show on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. ET. The three-hour special will be hosted by Matt Barrie and Brad Edwards with analyst Joey Galloway (joining 7 – 7:30 p.m.) and will incorporate calls from fans, plus deep-dive analysis and takeaways from college football experts including ESPN Radio college football analyst Trevor Matich, Dari & Mel hosts Dari Nowkhah and Mel Kiper, Jr. and a college coach to be announced.
Dari & Mel will lead off Saturday at 7 a.m. with the hosts discussing their expectations for Sunday’s College Football Playoff selections. College football analysts Edwards, Greg McElroy and Championship Drive co-host Phil Steele will join the show to offer their thoughts on Sunday’s selections.
Later that day, ESPN Radio’s College GameDay with host Matt Barrie, Edwards and Matich will provide additional analysis and take calls from fans on their predictions for the top four teams.
On Sunday, Dec. 7, The Ian O’Connor Show will discuss the college football landscape in the wake of Saturday’s results. College football analysts Danny Kanell and Edwards are scheduled to weigh the possibilities with host O’Connor. Following, Mike Lupica will continue the conversation with guest ESPN Radio and SEC Network host Paul Finebaum on Lupica (9 a.m.).
The Countdown to Kickoff show (11 a.m.) hosted by Doug Kezirian will preview the top four announcement, and coverage will continue with a simulcast of the first thirty minutes of ESPN’s College Football Playoff Selection Show at 12:30 p.m.
Additionally, fans can follow the excitement of the Heisman Trophy announcement with ESPN Radio’s Heisman Special on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. The four-hour show, which will also include the Heisman announcement live, will be hosted by Barrie with Matich and Edwards (who has a Heisman vote) and Kanell onsite in New York. The special will have guests Archie Manning, Joe Tessitore, Kirk Herbstreit and interviews with the Heisman candidates and winner.
