Major League Gaming returns to X Games Austin, as two invitationals for the first time – Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Defense of the Ancients 2 (Dota 2). The Sound Factory stage powered by KUTX has added performances by EDM artist The Glitch Mob, Multi-platinum rapper Kid Ink and alternative rock band Joywave.

The Glitch Mob, currently one of the most popular electronic acts, is a Los Angeles-based trio of Justin Boreta, Ed Ma and Joshua Mayer. In 2014, the group released their sophomore album, Love Death Immortality, at number one on the Billboard dance/electronic songs chart. They followed with the 2015 release of Love Death Immortality Remixes. For more information, please visit https://theglitchmob.com.

The perfect mix of producer and rapper, Kid Ink dropped his first independent album with 2012’s Up and Away, which spawned the mainstream breakthrough song “Time of Your Life.” In 2013, Kid Ink signed to Alumini Music Group/88 Classic/RCA Records, and he released his breakout album My Own Lane. He followed with 2015’s Full Speed, featuring collaborations with artists including Usher and R. Kelly. For more information, please visit www.kidinkmusic.com.

After a string of independently released and critically-acclaimed EP’s, Joywave made their major label debut in 2014 with the release of How Do You Feel?, featuring the infectious hit “Tongues”, followed by opening slots with The Killers, St. Lucia and a breakout performance at Lollapalooza.   The band has been featured on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live and VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live while their current single “Somebody New” is quickly climbing the alternative radio charts.  Joywave is currently on tour with Bleachers and will release their full-length album on April 21st. For more information, please visit www.joywavemusic.com.
