An industry veteran with more than 25 years’ experience at ESPN, Ericka Galbraith is currently a coordinating producer overseeing production for NCAA gymnastics and NCAA volleyball coverage across ESPN’s networks.

ESPN’s volleyball coverage has seen impressive continued growth since Galbraith took over the sport in 2022.  She brought in new faces and adopted fresh ideas to ESPN’s coverage from the moment she stepped into the role. Galbraith spearheaded the first dedicated volleyball whip-around show, The Fifth Set, with live action from every match site during the NCAA Tournament First and Second Rounds.

Galbraith took over the gymnastics coverage reigns in Feb. 2025, where she made an immediate impact. She implemented 4D replay in last year’s NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championship on the vault and uneven bars. The technology produces volumetric, time-slice “frozen moment” replays that immerse viewers in a previously impossible perspective of the sport’s most dynamic moments.

Previously, Galbraith served as the CP for ESPN’s lacrosse coverage, including two professional leagues – the Professional Lacrosse League (PLL) and the National Lacrosse League (NLL), as well as World Lacrosse and collegiate men’s and women’s lacrosse. She was integral to the growth of the sport across ESPN networks.

She also previously led efforts with various ESPN departments to strategically and tactically aid in multiple business-focused aspects of production. Galbraith served as the liaison between ESPN’s production and sales departments for in-show sponsorships on many of the company’s marquee properties, including college football, College GameDay, NCAA Championships, SEC Network and ACC Network.

Galbraith’s decades-long career at ESPN began as a production assistant before she was elevated to associate producer in 2004. In these roles, she worked across multiple sports producing in-game graphics, ISOs/replays, creative elements, and features.

From 2005 to 2007, she served as a senior production coordinator overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of multiple ESPN production assistants and associate producers. In this position, she was also the direct contact for production personnel assigned to work on ESPN’s college football, Men’s College World Series and NCAA Championships content. Galbraith was promoted to production manager in 2007, adding several responsibilities, including assisting senior executives with the production management of college football and the Men’s College World Series.

An Omaha, Neb. native, Galbraith graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a Broadcasting focus, with minors in marketing, English, and communication studies. She remains actively involved with her alma mater as a member of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications Dean’s Advisory Board. Galbraith is a Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT) Rising Leaders Program Fellow, a distinguished year-long program designed to benefit women leaders in the cable and telecommunications industry.
