Jess Sims is a college sports reporter for ESPN, as well as an influential fitness expert, speaker and instructor. Sims joined ESPN in August 2022 when she was named to the cast of College GameDay Built by The Home Depot. Sims also contributes to ESPN’s men’s and women’s college basketball, Special Olympics and Little League World Series coverage.

As a weekly contributor to college football’s premier pregame show, Sims helps capture the excitement surrounding ESPN’s on-campus College GameDay shows, highlighting athletes and coaches, and offering fans a unique behind-the-scenes look at the special traditions and gameday events that take place at each school.

During the 2025-2026 season, Sims added women’s basketball to her reporting repertoire, including hosting ESPN’s alternative broadcast for the NCAA Women’s Final Four. She also previously served as the game reporter on ESPN’s Saturday Prime crew.

In addition to her work with ESPN, Sims has also been a regular contributor to ABC’s Good Morning America since April 2023.

Widely known for her work as a fitness instructor, Sims left a career in education to pursue her passion in 2016. After teaching boxing and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) at popular boutique studios in New York City, she became a global sensation when she joined Peloton in 2018 as a Tread instructor, teaching running, walking, bootcamp, strength and stretching classes to millions of subscribers worldwide. Sims has also launched content for children and families, blending her passions for health and wellness through interactive movement and education.

A former collegiate basketball player at Trinity College, Sims also worked with the WNBA’s New York Liberty as an in-arena host and sideline reporter from 2021-23.
