Andrew “Hawk” Hawkins is a former NFL team captain (Cleveland Browns & Cincinnati Bengals), Emmy Award-nominated on-air talent (Outstanding Personality – Emerging On-Air Talent 2021), Oscar-winning producer (Hair Love 2020), and Shorty Award-winning personality & producer (Best Twitter Video 2020).
Hawk’s seven-year NFL career was as improbable as his post-NFL success in media, business, and entertainment. The former NFL wide receiver has become synonymous with sports content, comedy, and digital media expertise and development. He earned a master’s degree from Columbia University with a 4.0 GPA while playing in the NFL and began setting the groundwork for a career in sports entertainment after retirement.
Hawk began his media career at ESPN, becoming one of the founding anchors of the 2x Sports Emmy Award-nominated SportsCenter on Snapchat. Hawk then became an analyst at the NFL Network, where In 2021, he was nominated for the Sports Emmys as both a talent and producer (Outstanding Emerging On-Air Talent, Best Digital Innovation). Hawk, who is currently on-air talent for ESPN shows NFL Live, GetUp, and FirstTake, has written and produced award-winning comedy content for NFL Media (Shorty Award 2021) and was the Executive Producer of Hair Love, which won the 2020 Academy Award for Best Animated Short. Hawkins has also served as on-air talent for Roku (Roku Recommends), Discovery (Dodgeball Thunderdome), Amazon (NFL Next), NFL Media, and the Draft Kings Network. Hawkins’ production Company, Parks Tower Studios, currently has projects in development with The SpringHill Company, RTG Features, LEARFIELD, and Roku.
His post-playing career also extends to the boardroom: Hawk was the Head of Business Development for Lebron James and Maverick Carter’s media company, The SpringHill Company, for several years before founding his own venture-back entertainment-technology company, StatusPRO.
