Curtis Friends is Vice President of Sports Marketing, ESPN.  

In his role, Curtis oversees the ESPN marketing efforts for NBA, NFL, NFL Network, College Football/College Football Playoff, ACC Network, SEC Network, and UFL. This includes developing campaigns that authentically connect with all types of sports fans, driving consumption of the sport and events, and maintaining marketing relationships with leagues and conferences.  

Prior to his role with ESPN, Friends was a brand manager at Procter & Gamble leading the Head & Shoulders Sports marketing work out of Cincinnati, Ohio and then had P&L responsibility for the Wella Professionals Brand in Los Angeles, CA. 

As a native of Atlanta, GA, he is a Morehouse College Alum with an MBA from Georgia Tech. Curtis married into an athletic family and is raising three elite-level athletes in swimming and football.
