What: ESPN produces comprehensive, multi-platform coverage featuring telecasts of the final 17 NASCAR Sprint Cup races, including the 10-race “Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Additionally, ESPN2 is the television home of the NASCAR Nationwide Series. All television programming is produced in high definition. ESPN aired 262 NASCAR Cup Races over a 20-year period starting in 1981 and returned to NASCAR coverage in 2007. The network’s award-winning, live flag-to-flag coverage on ESPN has been honored with 19 Sports Emmy Awards, as well as many industry honors. It is widely credited for helping to popularize the sport nationwide.

NASCAR Now debuted on ESPN2 on Feb. 5, 2007, marking the network’s first-ever daily program solely dedicated to NASCAR, delivering the most up-to-date news and information each Monday through Friday. NASCAR Now airs a race preview show the morning of all NASCAR Sprint Cup races and a post-race edition runs on ESPN2 in the evening following the Chase events. NASCAR Now also has an expanded edition on Mondays featuring a roundtable discussion. The panel includes ESPN NASCAR analysts and reporters as well as guests such as drivers and members of the media.
NASCAR Countdown immediately precedes all NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series races televised on ESPN networks.
NASCAR Nationwide Series is home on ESPN2, with select races on ESPN and ABC. The networks telecast select practice and qualifying sessions and season preview and review programs.
NASCAR Sprint Cup airs on ESPN starting July 31 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway. ESPN networks will carry a total of 17 races including the entire Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Fourteen races will air on ESPN and three Saturday night events will air on ABC. The networks will also telecast select practice and qualifying sessions and a season review show.
