College football fans will see the first punt of the New Year on ESPNU with the TicketCity Bowl on Monday, Jan. 2, at noon.
- Game coverage kicks-off with College GameDay Bulit by The Home Depot at 10 a.m. from the sets of the day’s two BCS Bowls – The Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO and the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl
- The Whip follows from the Charlotte, N.C., studios at 11 a.m.
- Clay Matvick & Danny Kanell will cover No. 22 Penn State vs. No. 19 Houston from the booth with Allison Williams on the sidelines of the legendary Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas
- At 4 p.m., some of 2012’s rising college football stars – 90 high school seniors with 73 from the ESPNU 150 take to the practice field for three-hours in preparation for the Under Armour All-America High School Game airing on ESPN Thursday, Jan. 5 (7:30 p.m.)
College Football GameDay Corner College GameDay, College Football Live & SportsCenter will be coming from all five BCS Bowl games, providing extensive on-site studio reports and analysis across multiple shows and platforms. Coverage will be highlighted by four special editions of the popular College GameDay Built by The Home Depot, with a two-hour show on Monday, Jan. 2 at 10 a.m. to preview the Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO and Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, along with one-hour editions of ESPN’s weekday College Football Live at the BCS (daily from 3 to 4 p.m.), beginning Tuesday, Jan. 3 through Monday, Jan. 9.
Auburn coach Gene Chizik and Oregon coach Chip Kelly – the two participants in last year’s Tostitos BCS National Championship – will join ESPN as on-site studio analysts from New Orleans leading up to and through the Allstate BCS National Championship.
College GameDay will originate from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. beginning at 10 a.m. on ESPNU and continuing at 11 a.m. on ESPN.
- Commentators include hosts Chris Fowler and Erin Andrews, and analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack
- On-set interviews with Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema and Oregon coach Chip Kelly
- USC head coach Lane Kiffin will serve as a guest analyst

College Basketball GameDay Corner
- The season debut will be on ESPN with the second hour on ESPNU
- Most other weeks, the two-hour show will air at 10 a.m. on ESPNU, continuing at 11 a.m. on ESPN with a onehour edition at 8 p.m. on ESPN
- The Saturday Primetime game-of-the-week series will generally be aired at 9 p.m.
New to the schedule this year is the “flex pick” option for the March 3 game.
- College GameDay will either stop in Durham, N.C., for North Carolina at Duke in a 7 p.m. Saturday Primetime matchup or in Lawrence, Kan., for the Texas at Kansas 9 p.m. game
For the eighth year, Rece Davis will serve as point guard for the College GameDay desk, and will be joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis and Bob Knight to preview all the day’s action and discuss the biggest storylines in college basketball.
