ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes will air seven live soccer matches Friday, Dec. 30, through Wednesday, Jan. 4, including two Barclays Premier League matchups featuring three of the top six teams in league standings – Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool FC. Highlights:
- Premier League: Saturday, Dec. 31, Manchester United will host Blackburn Rovers at 7:30 a.m. ET, and Tuesday, Jan. 3, Manchester City will host Liverpool at 2:50 p.m. Both matches will air on ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes, and feature commentators Ian Darke and Steve McManaman;
- Spain: ESPN3 will show three Copa del Rey matches beginning Tuesday, Jan. 3, with Albacete vs. Athletico Bilbao at 2 p.m. The week’s Copa del Rey action on ESPN networks will conclude Wednesday, Jan. 4, with Lionel Messi and Barcelona hosting Osasuna at 4 p.m. on ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes.
