In his role as the swaggering leader of the 1985 Super Bowl champion Chicago Bears, Jim McMahon was irreverent, defiant and always willing to challenge authority. But for all his NFL achievements and antics, McMahon took a physical beating. Today, at age 52, he is suffering the effects of his 15 years in the league, complaining of short term memory loss he says is caused by the repeated head trauma he endured as an NFL player. Now, McMahon is taking on the league again, as one of hundreds of former players suing the NFL. McMahon tells Steve Delsohn the league not only failed to properly treat the concussions of players, but concealed information about their long-term impact. Bob Ley hosts.

Blake Griffin rose to stardom after last year’s memorable NBA dunk contest, despite grieving the loss of his best friend, Wilson Holloway, who died just two days before All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. Wilson was Griffin’s best friend and high school teammate in Edmond, Okla., as well as an offensive lineman at Tulsa before being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Griffin discusses what Wilson’s life meant to him, and how his loss has affected him since. Colleen Dominguez reports.
