Coming of age in the hardscrabble blogosphere, The Mag’s initial venture into a Hall of Fame-centric issue is peaking during the height of the debate era when the legacy of baseball achievers was tarnished by steroids, reputations of basketball’s hall’ers are threatened by new metrics, and the aerial assault of the NFL confused great QBs with the merely prolific.

- MLB: Voter Confidential –The Mag asked 48 anonymous voters how they would cast their vote on the MLB Hall of Fame ballot. According to the voters polled, Barry Bonds does not appear to be a first-ballot selection, and voters weren’t sure they would ever let him in. Roger Clemens didn’t fare much better, and according to voters, Sammy Sosa may never get in. Meanwhile, more than half of those polled said they would vote for Pete Rose if they were able to.
