Considered by some to be a silent epidemic, domestic violence made a deafening roar through the sports world with the video of Ray Rice striking his now wife and the arrests of other prominent NFL players and professional athletes. Outside the Lines presents two reports: one of the Broncos’ famed “Three Amigos,” Vance Johnson, sits down with Kelly Naqi to discuss his history of abuse against women; Steve Delsohn examines how some groups such as Men of Code are trying to stop domestic violence by educating young athletes.

Anna Isaacson, 35, is the league’s new Vice President in charge of its domestic violence policy. Wayne Drehs reports.
“Her work on domestic violence and sexual assault issues had begun months before the announcement, in the wake of the outcry over Rice’s initial, two-game suspension in late July. That’s when Goodell commissioned Isaacson to lead an internal critique of the league’s domestic violence and sexual assault policies while building a network of outside experts the league could lean on for advice.” – Wayne Drehs

No one was closer to Thomas as a child than his mother, and he dreams of the day his whole family — a convict, a prison guard, an estranged couple and a professional athlete — will be reunited. A Special Feature 360 segment will tell the story of Mark Sanchez, who will start his first game for the Philadelphia Eagles this week, and is of Mexican descent.
