Weekly Show to End Season at Army-Navy Game in Baltimore
ESPN College GameDay Built by The Home Depot – college football’s longest-running and most-celebrated pregame show – will make a first-time stop in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Saturday, Nov. 19, in advance of Buffalo at undefeated and No. 21-ranked Western Michigan (ESPNU, 3:30 p.m.). The weekly three-hour show (9 a.m.–noon) will originate from Sangren Plaza on WMU’s campus.
The six-time Emmy Award-winning show is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack, as well as contributors Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, Jen Lada, Samantha Ponder, Tom Rinaldi, George Whitfield and Gene Wojciechowski.
College Football Live will air from the set on Friday with Ponder, Howard and Pollack (1:30 p.m., ESPN).
Corso Facts:
Corso began making his entertaining end-of-show headgear pick of the team he thinks will win the game at the GameDay site, marking 20 years this season. Week 12 will be headgear number 287 for Corso, as he is 189-97 all-time in headgear picks. The phenomenon began on October 5, 1996, prior to the Ohio State-Penn State game in Columbus, Ohio when he put on OSU’s “Brutus Buckeye” mascot head to show his pick to win the game – watch here.
- Corso has lost his last two headgear picks after putting together a string of five straight wins.
- He is 7-4 in headgear picks this year.
- Corso has never picked Western Michigan or Buffalo – marking the 56th different mascot headgear he has donned.
- He lost all three times last year when picking schools for the first time (Arizona, James Madison and Baylor), but won when picking Louisville for the first time in September.

- Kalamazoo, Mich., will be the 77th different city from which GameDay will originate.
- Western Michigan is also the 68th different school to host GameDay.
- Western Michigan is the eighth first-time school to host GameDay in the last three years.
- All four debut hosts in 2014 year won their game – Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Harvard and Baylor.
- Last year, both James Madison and Temple lost.
- Louisville won as a first time host, blowing out Florida State in September.
- GameDay has originated from a MAC game just once – October 25, 2003, when Bowling Green defeated Northern Illinois. Northern Illinois’ leading receiver that day – current Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck.
- Home teams have lost each of the last three weeks at the GameDay
- This is the first time in five weeks GameDay will be at a game televised by an ESPN network.
Army-Navy Visit
College GameDay will make its third straight stop to the storied annual showdown between Army and Navy on Saturday, Dec. 10. The show will close out its regular season from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor in a special two-hour edition (9-11 a.m. ET).
