ESPN’s exclusive coverage of The Championships, Wimbledon continues on Thursday, July 13, with the Ladies’ Semifinals on ESPN at 8 a.m. ET:

• 14 Garbiñe Muguruza vs. Magdaléna Rybáriková — A matchup between the 2015 finalist who won the 2016 French Open and an unseeded woman who never before has progressed past the third round of a Major:
• 10 Venus Williams vs. No. 6 Jo Konta — A popular five-time champion (with seven Major crowns overall), 37, playing the first British woman to reach the semifinals in 39 years (Virginia Wade, 1978).

All the action, plus all the other televised courts, which begin at either 6 a.m. (Courts 12, 14, 17 and 18), 6:30 a.m. (Courts 2 and 3 or 8 a.m. (Court 1) – are available on ESPN3 and streaming live on the ESPN App.  The two semifinals will also air on ESPN Deportes.

Breakfast at Wimbledon at 7 a.m.

The two semifinal matches will be preceded by Breakfast at Wimbledon at 7 a.m., hosted by Tom Rinaldi.  The show will include a feature on the ageless Venus Williams, an insider’s look at the players’ locker rooms, a look at the famous Wimbledon Queue for tickets, plus a preview of the day’s action and a look ahead at the Gentlemen’s Semifinals.

“Wimbledon Surround” Returns for Semifinals, Championships

ESPN3 – online and streaming live on the ESPN App – will once again add an additional feed – “Wimbledon Surround” – for the semifinals and championships.  It has three boxes – the primary TV view, plus two more, each focusing on one player.

Gentlemen’s Semifinals Friday

Friday’s Wimbledon Gentlemen’s Semifinals will begin at 8 a.m., preceded by Breakfast at Wimbledon at 7 a.m.:

• 3 Roger Federer, owner of 18 Major titles including seven in London vs. 2010 Wimbledon finalist No. 11 Tomas Berdych.
• American Sam Querrey – the No. 24 seed and the first U.S. male to reach a Major semifinal since Andy Roddick at Wimbledon in 2009 – vs. 7 Marin Cilic, the 2014 US Open winner.

Championship Weekend

Action from London will peak with this weekend’s five championships on ESPN and ESPN Deportes:  the Ladies’ Championship and the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Doubles Championships on ESPN on Saturday, July 15; and the Gentlemen’s Championship on Sunday, July 16, followed by the Mixed Doubles Championship.  In addition, the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Championships will air on ABC at 3 p.m. each day.
