Men’s College Basketball: Saturday Showcase to Feature Sonic Blockbuster between No. 1 Duke and No. 4 Virginia
- First-ever ESPN+ Multicast to Offer Alternate Viewing Experience
- College GameDay Makes First Stop of 2019 at Duke Ahead of Top-5 Matchup
ESPN’s Saturday Showcase Presented by 5-Hour ENERGY slate on Saturday, Jan. 19, will feature 10 of the top 15 teams across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU, highlighted by the Saturday Primetime presented by H&R Block matchup between No. 4 Virginia and No. 1 Duke at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN.
College basketball coverage begins with College GameDay Covered by State Farm at 11 a.m., from Durham, N.C., with host Rece Davis and analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams. The traveling college basketball, originating from Cameron Indoor Stadium, will preview the top-five matchup between the Cavaliers and Blue Devils. Reporter Tom Rinaldi sat down with Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski earlier this week for a one-on-one interview, which will air during the show.
The Sonic Blockbuster will be complemented by a Player Iso Cam, ONLY on ESPN+. This alternate viewing experience, available via the ESPN App, will bring fans closer to the action inside Cameron Indoor Stadium, focusing on individual players throughout the game. Davis, Greenberg and Williams will provide commentary for the first-ever college basketball ‘ESPN+ multi-cast,’ detailing the craziness inside one of college basketball’s most electric venues.
