Texas Football Opens Up 2019 Season against Louisiana Tech on Longhorn Network

Longhorn Network, the 24-hour network devoted to the University of Texas, will televise two Texas football home games during the 2019 season. Texas will begin the 2019 season on LHN with their season opener against Louisiana Tech on Saturday, August 31 at 7 p.m. CT. The primetime game on LHN launches the Longhorns’ 2019 campaign following a 2018 season that saw year-end No. 8 Texas take home the Allstate Sugar Bowl trophy.

Details surrounding the second televised game will be announced later this summer, and 2019 marks the ninth year that LHN has exclusively televised select Texas football games.

Texas GameDay and Texas GameDay Final will once again supplement Longhorn Network’s Texas football telecasts, as well as every game day for the Longhorns. Lowell Galindo returns as host of LHN’s signature studio show with Alex Loeb as reporter, joined by analysts and Lifetime Longhorns Michael Griffin, Jordan Shipley and Ricky Williams.

Additional information on LHN’s football programming will be announced at a later date.
