College Basketball: Jimmy V Classic

ESPN’s men’s college basketball schedule will be highlighted by the 17th annual Jimmy V Men’s Basketball Classic Presented by Corona Extra doubleheader on Tuesday, Dec. 6 on ESPN and ESPN3.  The early season event showcasing top college basketball programs will be held at Madison Square Garden for the ninth consecutive year.  Games will tip off at 7 p.m. with No. 13 Missouri vs. Villanova followed by Washington vs. No. 16 Marquette at 9 p.m.  Missouri, Washington and Marquette are making their Jimmy V Classic debuts while Villanova played in the 2008 event against Texas. 

In addition, the 10th annual Jimmy V Women’s Classic Presented by Corona Extra will be held for the first time on the same evening as the Jimmy V Men’s Classic.  The game will include the national champions from the last three years pitting the 2011 national winner Texas A&M against the 2009 & 2010 title holder Connecticut, at 7 p.m., from Hartford, Conn.
