ESPN media platforms (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes) will air 16 live soccer matches and the UEFA European Football Championship 2012 (UEFA EURO 2012™) Draw beginning Friday, Dec. 2, through Monday, Dec. 5. Twelve will feature matchups from the top-four professional soccer leagues in the world – Barclays Premier League, Spain’s La Liga, German Bundesliga and Italian Serie A. Highlights:
- ESPN’s versatile play-by-play commentator Beth Mowins and former U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team captain Julie Foudy will call the two NCAA Women’s College Cup semifinals on Friday, Dec. 2, and the final on Sunday, Dec. 4, live from Kennesaw State University Soccer Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga.;
- Barclays Premier League: ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes will present the matchup between the fourth (Newcastle United) and fifth (Chelsea) place teams in the Premier League standings on Saturday, at 7:30 a.m. ET. On Monday, Dec. 5, Fulham, led by U.S. international Clint Dempsey, will host Liverpool on ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes at 2:55 p.m.;
- Serie A: Genoa will host league champions AC Milan on Friday, Dec. 2, at 2:40 p.m., exclusively on ESPN3;
- La Liga: Sporting Gijon will host current table leaders Real Madrid on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 12 p.m. on ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes;
- Bundesliga: Legendary club Bayern Munich will host Werder Bremen on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 9:30 a.m., on ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes;
- ESPN Deportes, ESPN3 and ESPNEWS will present live the UEFA EURO 2012™ Draw on Friday, Dec. 2, beginning at 12 p.m. ET, at the Palace of Arts in Kiev, Ukraine.
