Baseball: Two Teams Out, Six Still in the Hunt
ESPN’s College World Series coverage – all possible 17 games for the 10th consecutive year – continues tonight with an elimination game between UCLA and Florida State at 8 p.m. on ESPN. ESPN will also televise the elimination game pitting Kent State against two-time defending National Champion South Carolina Wednesday at 8 p.m. Stony Brook and Florida have been eliminated from the event.

ESPN2 and ESPN will combine to televise the best-of-three College World Series Finals Sunday, June 24 through Tuesday, June 26.

College Football Live: ESPN & ESPNU
ESPN’s daily, half-hour College Football Live program will air Wednesday, June 20, at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN (re-air at 4 p.m., ESPNU), with host Joe Tessitore and analyst Jesse Palmer. Tessitore will host next week with analyst Matt Millen. The show continues to examine the off-season highlights, from conference realignment to team previews and player injury reports.

College Football Live Special: The Future of the BCS from Chicago on Wednesday
On Wednesday, ESPNU will devote three hours of live coverage to breaking news surrounding what Bowl Championship Series (BCS) executive director Bill Hancock called a “seismic change” for college football. College Football Live Special: The Future of the BCS begins at 6 p.m. and will be hosted by Anish Shroff with analyst Mike Bellotti and Danny Kanell in studio. Rece Davis, Jesse Palmer, Joe Schad and Mark Schlabach will be reporting live from Chicago where the latest BCS meetings are taking place.

ESPN’s leading experts of former college coaches and players will discuss the possible playoff format impact on the landscape of college football. Both College Football Live specials will be highlighted with interviews from conference commissioners, coaches, players and Hancock shedding more details on the future of the BCS.

Additional coverage of the BCS meetings will air next Tuesday, June 26 at 6 p.m. on ESPNU.

Honda Sports Awards Recognizing NCAA Female Athletes
The Honda Sports Awards, showcasing the Collegiate Women Sports Awards that annually honor the accomplishments of top female athletes in NCAA-member colleges, will make its television debut Saturday, June 23, at 3 p.m. on ESPNU. Now in its 36th year, the Honda Cup is considered the most prestigious in female athletics and is awarded to the outstanding Collegiate Athlete of the Year. Past winners include Ann Meyers Drysdale, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Mia Hamm, Lisa Fernandez, Misty May and Candace Parker.

The 2011-2012 Inspiration Award – given each year to a student-athlete who has overcome hardship to excel in her sport – will be received by Delaware’s Elena Della Donne for her commitment and courage in the face of adversity.

ESPN’s Wendi Nix and Samantha Steele will host the hour special from ESPN’s Los Angeles Production Center.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Title IX, ESPNU’s debut of the Honda Sports Awards will also feature the “Pioneers of Title IX”, a retrospective look at the historic legislation that granted women equal opportunities in all educational institutions receiving federal funding on June 23, 1972.

ESPNU and Longhorn Network to Offer Extensive Lineup of Collegiate Women in Sports Programming on Title IX Anniversary Weekend
ESPNU and Longhorn Network are involved in more than 180 hours of women in sports programming across ESPN outlets on Saturday as part of the company’s three-month multiplatform initiative, The Power IX, recognizing the 40th anniversary of Title IX, signed June 23, 1972.

In addition to the Honda Sports Awards, ESPNU will run Sporting Chance presented by Northwestern Mutual, a one-hour documentary produced by the NCAA in conjunction with ESPN and Creative Street Entertainment Group. Airing at noon, it tells the story of the passage of Title IX and explores how this law has increased educational opportunities and athletic participation, specifically for women, over the past 40 years.

The 24-hour college sports network will also re-air past games from NCAA Championships, including softball and basketball.

The Longhorn Network, the 24-hour network dedicated to the University of Texas Longhorns, will air three days of programming, including competition from the 2011-12 academic year, as well as notable Longhorn women’s games from past seasons.

Inside look at The Making of EA Sports NCAA Football 13 on ESPNU Tonight
Beginning tonight at 7:30 p.m., ESPNU will air the first episode of The Making of EA Sports NCAA Football 13 presented by Dove Men Care taking fans inside the creation of this year’s video game. The two-part show will include a behind-the-scenes look at EA Sports, as well as access to Robert Griffin III’s cover shoot and interviews with past Heisman winner’s Tim Tebow, Archie Griffin and Doug Flutie. The second show will air on Tuesday, July 24 at 8:30 p.m.

Elite 11 Selection Show: Top High School Quarterbacks Unveiled for Elite 11 Camp
Twelve high school quarterbacks will learn they are one of 24 competing for participation in the Elite 11 on the Elite 11 Selections Show on Thursday at 8 p.m. on ESPNU. Over the course of four months, rising senior quarterbacks and select elite underclassmen have participated in advanced one-on-one instruction at six regional camp-ititions vying for a coveted spot in the final Elite 11 event in Southern California.

The Elite 11 Selection Show will showcase profiles on the 12 players that have already been announced, while also unveiling an additional 12 for the first time. Intense scenes from regionals will showcase the high skill level each participant has already developed. Viewers will also have access to the Elite 11 coaches’ war room led by ESPN analyst and Super Bowl-winning QB Trent Dilfer as they decide the remaining field.

Elite 11 coverage will continue on ESPN in August with the Elite 11 QB Camp: The Finals, airing in two parts, Tuesday, Aug. 7 and Aug. 14.

Daily NBA Draft Previews for the College Fan
In anticipation of the 2012 NBA Draft on ESPN Thursday, June 28, ESPNU will air four hour-long preview specials at 4:30 p.m. each day beginning Monday, June 25. The daily shows are part of more than 100 hours the network has devoted to NBA Draft programming that includes reliving top prospects’ marquee high school and college basketball games and coverage of the 2012 NBA Draft Combine.

On Friday, June 29 at midnight (immediately following the draft), ESPNU will air a one-hour Post-Draft Special recapping the draft from a college perspective.
