Auburn at Alabama “Iron Bowl” Highlights ESPN’s Remaining SEC Schedule

ESPN’s remaining 2014 regular-season SEC game schedule – games on November 22, 27 and 29 – will be highlighted by a prime time telecast of No. 3 Auburn at No. 5 Alabama in the 79th Iron Bowl. ESPN will televise the in-state showdown – widely considered one of the most competitive and best rivalries in sports – on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 7:45 p.m. ET. SEC Network will also offer a live alternate presentation to ESPN’s coverage with specific details to be finalized.

Last season’s matchup featured No. 4 Auburn, with a 10-1 record, defeating an undefeated No. 1 Alabama on the final play of the game, giving Auburn a berth in the SEC Championship Game and ending Alabama’s quest for a third consecutive national title.

This will mark the first time ESPN has televised the Iron Bowl since a prime time telecast on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, a 17-10 Auburn victory.

ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot – college football’s longest running and most celebrated pregame show – will make its ninth visit to Tuscaloosa, Ala., ahead of the SEC West showdown between AP-ranked No. 1 Mississippi State and No. 5 Alabama. The weekly three-hour Emmy Award-winning show (Saturday 9 a.m.- noon ET) will originate from outside Bryant-Denny Stadium on the campus of the University of Alabama.

Hosted by Chris Fowler, the GameDay team consists of analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack with reporting by Samantha Ponder,Tom Rinaldi, Scott Van Pelt, George Whitfield and Gene Wojciechowski.

SEC Network: SEC Nation Live Saturday from Texas A&M; Tripleheader Schedule

SEC Network heads into Week 12 of the 2014 college football season with a tripleheader of Southeastern Conference football games and SEC Nation’s first trip to College Station, Texas, on Saturday, Nov. 15.

After upsetting No. 3 Auburn* this past weekend, SEC Network’s traveling pregame show will air live from 10 – noon in Spence Park on the Texas A&M campus. Tim Tebow, Marcus Spears, Paul Finebaum, host Joe Tessitore and reporter Kaylee Hartung will preview the day of SEC games and bring the sights and sounds of the Aggie’s tailgating scene prior to the Missouri at Texas A&M matchup, which also airs on SEC Network.

 Tuscaloosa, Ala., takes center stage as ESPN Radio heads to the campus of the University of Alabama for ESPN Radio’s College GameDay, on Saturday, Nov. 15, broadcasting live from noon- 7 p.m. with host Matt Barrie and analysts Brad Edwards and Trevor Matich.  Later that afternoon, Bill Rosinski, David Norrie and Joe Schad will call the action from No. 1 Mississippi State vs. No. 5 Alabama, airing at 3 p.m. on ESPN Radio, followed by, No. 2 Florida State hosting Miami at 7 p.m.

ESPNU: No. 1 Dual-Threat QB to Declare College Destination Live on Thursday

ESPNU will televise the college announcements of the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback (junior class)  on Thursday, Nov. 13. Quarterback Malik Henry, No. 2 in the ESPN Junior 300, will announce his decision at 3:30 p.m. ET on College Football Daily (1 p.m. – 4 p.m.) The California native is expected to decide between Florida State, Notre Dame, and UCLA. Recruiting analysts Craig Haubert and Gerry Hamilton will be in-studio as part of the announcement.
