UEFA Europa League, Copa del Rey, German Cup and UEFA Champions League
ESPN and ESPN Deportes present unprecedented multiplatform live coverage of top-rated tournament finals this summer – UEFA Europa League, Copa del Rey, German Cup and UEFA Champions League – from May 18 through May 28.
ESPN Deportes TV and Radio are the exclusive Spanish-language home in the U.S. of the UEFA Champions League final, the most prestigious club competition in Europe featuring Real Madrid vs. Atletico de Madrid, on Saturday, May 28, at 2:30 p.m ET.
Leading up to the Champions League, ESPN Deportes will exclusively televise the UEFA Europa League final Liverpool vs. Sevilla on Wednesday, May 18, at 2:30 p.m. In addition, ESPN will have bilingual coverage of the German Cup featuring Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund and Copa del Rey final Barcelona vs. Sevilla on Saturday, May 21, at 1:45 p.m. and Sunday, May 22, at 3:30 p.m., respectively.
Programming Highlights:
- Summer of Champions kicks off this Wednesday with the UEFA Europa League final on ESPN Deportes television and radio. Ricardo Ortiz and Andres Agulla will call the game on television. Studio coverage will be led by Fuera de Juego pre/post shows.
- ESPN Deportes’ coverage of the German Cup kicks off at noon with a special SportsCenter and a Fútbol Center pre show. Richard Mendez and Tato Noriega will call the action for television. In addition, ESPN3 will carry the match live in English.
- Copa del Rey final will air live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes. English-language coverage will be led by Fernando Palomo and the analysis of Alejandro Moreno, while Jorge Ramos and Hernan Pereyra will call the action for ESPN Deportes. Fuera de Juego will lead the studio coverage.
- The UEFA Champions League Final telecast on ESPN Deportes will be complemented by more than nine hours of live programming on match day and extensive studio coverage the throughout the week. An unmatched lineup of on-air soccer experts will be reporting from Milan including: Palomo, Noriega, Jose Ramon Fernandez, 1978 FIFA World Cup winner and Golden Ball & Golden Boot recipient Mario Kempes, Roberto Gomez Junco, Ciro Procuna, Carolina Guillen, Poncho Vera, Ramos, Pereyra and Martin Ainstein plus special guests Hugo Sanchez, Mexico’s all-time top scorer in the European Cup with 17 goals, and former Argentine international and 2002 UEFA Champions League winner Santiago Solari. Sanchez and Solari are two of the few players to play for both Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid.
- ESPN will present extensive game around the game coverage with a special ESPN FC originating from Milan from Wed. May 25 through Fri., May 27, followed by a post-match show on May 28. Dan Thomas, Gabriele Marcotti, Moreno and Stewart Robson will be onsite.
ESPNFC.com will feature extensive coverage of all four events including in-depth previews, special features, live reactions, highlights, social interaction with writers, predictions, blog posts, interviews, rapid live reactions and deep dives. In anticipation of the UEFA Champions League final, there will be special onsite reports with Marcotti providing previews and scene-setters live from Milan. In addition, ESPN FC will live stream the German Cup and Copa del Rey final.
ESPNDeportes.com offers extensive coverage on all four finals, with pre-game previews, rapid live reactions during the games and post-game analysis and recaps, including features around the matches, statistics, live tweets, video analysis with the TV talent, players’ reactions, and Paola Nuñez reporting on the Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League finals from Madrid and Milan, respectively.

Verano de Campeones: ESPN y ESPN Deportes presentan las finales de cuatro campeonatos europeas de fútbol en 10 días
UEFA Europa League, Copa del Rey, Copa de Alemania y la UEFA Champions League
ESPN y ESPN Deportes presentarán del 18 al 28 de mayo una cobertura en vivo sin precedentes a lo largo de sus plataformas de las finales de los torneos más importantes de este verano: la UEFA Europa League, Copa del Rey, Copa de Alemania y la UEFA Champions League.
ESPN Deportes TV y Radio presentarán la transmisión exclusiva en español en Estados Unidos de la final de la UEFA Champions League, el torneo de clubes más prestigioso de Europa, entre Real Madrid y Atletico de Madrid, el sábado 28 de marzo a las 2:30 p.m (hora del este).
En anticipación a la Champions League, ESPN Deportes televisará en exclusiva la final de la UEFA Europa League entre Liverpool y Sevilla hoy miércoles 18 de mayo a las 2:30 p.m. Además, ESPN tendrá cobertura bilingüe de las finales de la Copa de Alemania entre Bayern Munich y Borussia Dortmund y de la Copa del Rey entre Barcelona y Sevilla el sábado 21 de mayo a la 1:45 p.m. y el domingo 22 de mayo a las 3:30 p.m., respectivamente.
Destacados de la programación:
- El Verano de Campeones comienza hoy miércoles con la final de la UEFA Europa League por ESPN Deportes televisión y radio. Ricardo Ortiz y Andres Agulla narrarán el partido por televisión. La cobertura desde los estudios será encabezada por Fuera de Juego.
