Sunday NFL Countdown: Reliving the Cowboys Drafting Dak Prescott; Patriots Fans’ Regrets, and More

Sam Ponder will host Sunday NFL Countdown with analysts Matt Hasselbeck, Randy Moss, Rex Ryan and Charles Woodson as they preview week 2 in the NFL on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. ET. The new three-hour show will also feature NFL Insiders Chris Mortensen, Louis Riddick and Adam Schefter, and senior fantasy sports analyst Matthew Berry.

The Drafting of Dak Prescott: Jim Trotter reports how owner Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys – who wanted Paxton Lynch – fell into selecting quarterback Dak Prescott in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The Broncos traded up to select Lynch with the 26^th overall pick. Prescott was picked at No. 135 in the fourth round. Trotter interviews Jones, Prescott and Broncos President of Football Operations John Elway as a preview to Sunday’s Cowboys-Broncos game.
Patriots Fans’ Regrets: Jeff Darlington reports the story of Patriots fans who left the stadium early during Super Bowl LI and missed seeing the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history.

Monday Night Football: Matthew Stafford and the Lions Visit Eli Manning and the Giants

Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions visit Eli Manning and the New York Giants on ESPN’s Monday Night Football on Sept. 18 at 8:15 p.m. Sean McDonough and Super Bowl-winning head coach Jon Gruden will call the game from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., with reporter Lisa Salters. Lions-Giants will also be available in Spanish on ESPN Deportes (simulcast on ESPN2) – featuring commentators Alvaro Martin, Raul Allegre and reporter John Sutcliffe – and streamed live the ESPN App.

Preceding the game, Suzy Kolber will host Monday Night Countdown (6-8:15 p.m., ESPN) from MetLife Stadium with analysts Matt Hasselbeck, Randy Moss, Charles Woodson and Steve Young. Countdown highlights:

Michelle Beisner-Buck Feature – Ezekiel “Ziggy” Ansah’s Return Home: During the offseason, Lions defensive Ezekiel Nana “Ziggy” Ansah returned home to Accra, Ghana, to host the first football camp in the West African country of 28 million people. Countdown cameras accompanied Ansah on his 6,000-mile journey home to his high school, Presbyterian Boys Secondary School, where he conducted a camp and gave out football shoes and sneakers to participants. ESPN Radio Continues 2017 NFL Sunday Schedule with Doubleheader

ESPN Radio continues its weekly 2017 Sunday NFL schedule on Sept. 17 with a doubleheader – Minnesota Vikings at Pittsburgh Steelers (noon), followed by San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks (4 p.m.). Adam Amin and analyst Bill Polian call the early game, while Marc Kestecher and Brock Huard have the second game.
