Show Visits Non-FBS Game Site for 9th Time
ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot – college football’s longest-running and most-celebrated pregame show – will make its second visit to James Madison University on Saturday, Oct. 14 (9 a.m. – noon ET) ahead of its matchup against Villanova at 3:30 p.m. GameDay will air from the Quad on JMU’s campus, with live SportsCenter segments beginning at 7:30 a.m. prior to Saturday’s show.
The seven-time Emmy Award-winning show is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack, as well as contributors Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, Jen Lada, Tom Rinaldi, Maria Taylor and Gene Wojciechowski.
College Football Live will originate from the set with Taylor, Howard and Pollack on Friday, Oct. 13.

College GameDay Fun Facts
Corso began making his entertaining end-of-show headgear pick 22 years ago, donning the headgear of the team who he thinks will win the game that GameDay is present at. This weekend’s show will mark headgear number 301 for Corso, as he is 197-103 all-time in headgear picks. Corso reached a headgear milestone last weekend during GameDay’s trip to TCU when he made his 300th headgear pick on the show. The phenomenon began on October 5, 1996, prior to the Ohio State-Penn State game in Columbus, Ohio when he put on OSU’s “Brutus Buckeye” mascot head to show his pick to win the game – watch here.
- This is the 9th time GameDay has originated from a non-FBS game site.
