X Games Minneapolis revealed today the sports disciplines and athletes automatically invited for its 2019 event on XGames.com. Medalists from X Games Minneapolis 2018 who have sport disciplines returning in 2019 will receive an early invite to compete in the X Games Minneapolis 2019 event. The world’s premier action sports competition returns for its third year in the Twin Cities August 1-4 at U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.
Tickets for X Games Minneapolis 2019 offer fans the unique opportunity to experience top-level action-sports competition by day and world-class musical offerings by night, all within the comfortable and convenient hub of U.S. Bank Stadium and GEICO Music Stage at The Armory. This year’s action sports will include Skateboard, BMX and Moto X disciplines; music will include performances by The Blind Shake, Chevy Metal, Diplo, Incubus, P.O.S, SWMRS and Wu-Tang Clan.
General admission tickets start at $20, with XIP, one-day and three-day experiences, and music options offered. In addition, X Games will offer a special children’s ticket price in 2019, making the event even more family friendly. All tickets will include access to X Fest, where fans can enjoy sponsor activations, athlete autograph sessions and more. X Games Minneapolis 2019 invited athletes includes:
- Logan Martin (Logan Reserve, Australia) – Australia’s Martin is on everyone’s radar. The only rider to medal in both Dirt and Park at X Games Minneapolis 2017 (silver in both), did it again in 2018 with a gold in Park and silver in Dirt. A rookie at X Games Austin 2016, Logan used his explosive and technical style to throw some of the biggest tricks in the sport. He earned Park silver — the first rookie to earn a BMX Park medal since Brazilian Diogo Canina in 2008.
- Kelvin Hoefler (Sao Paolo, Brazil) – Kelvin Hoefler is off to a strong start in X Games Skateboard Street, with medals in all of his first four appearances, including two gold. The Brazilian has also been killing it in contests around the world, including wins at Street League, Dew Tour and the Kimberly Diamond Cup. Kelvin said he’d been dreaming of competing at X Games ever since he was eight years old, skating a box and rail setup in his mother’s kitchen and garage in Sao Paolo and pretending he was Bob Burnquist.
- Mariah Duran (Albuquerque, New Mexico) – X Games Minneapolis 2018 Women’s Skateboard Street gold medalist Mariah Duran went on to take gold once more at X Games Sydney. When not traveling for filming or contests, the Albuquerque skater rips up the drainage ditches and skateparks in her hometown with her brothers. With increasing opportunities in women’s skateboarding and a busy 2018 contest schedule, she made the leap to focus on skateboarding full-time last year.
- Brighton Zeuner (San Diego, California) – The youngest female athlete in X Games history (2016) became the youngest gold medalist of all-time at X Games Minneapolis 2017 when she won Women’s Skateboard Park the day after her 13th birthday. Zeuner doubled down and took gold again in 2018. She is a north San Diego county (via Scottsdale, Ariz.) teen who like to thrift shop, wear makeup, clown with her friends and skate every day after school.
- Rob Adelberg (Benalla, Victoria, Australia) – The seven-time summer X Games medalist added to his collection the last two years in Aspen when he took home the first-ever X Games Aspen Snow Bike Best Trick gold medal and defended his title this year. Adelberg also took home gold in Moto X Best Trick and bronze in Moto X Freestyle at X Games Sydney in October 2018, as well as bronze in both Moto X Freestyle and Best Trick last year in Minneapolis.
- Mitchie Brusco (Encinitas, California) – Now 6 feet tall and 21 years old, little Mitchie Brusco has grown 11 inches and gained 60 pounds since his first X Games appearance in 2011. A double threat in Big Air and Vert, Brusco finally won his first gold medal and blew minds at X Games Minneapolis 2018 by landing a 1080 – a trick only he has previously done on a full-size mega ramp at X Games Barcelona in 2013. A skating prodigy, Brusco appeared on the Today show when he was five and in 2013 he did an Ollie over Conan O’Brien’s head.

As part of the Road to X Games content series, X Games will also host top athletes in a Boise Park Qualifier event on Saturday, June 29, as they compete to secure their invitation to X Games Minneapolis. Streamed live from Rhodes Skatepark in Boise, Idaho, the Boise Park Qualifier will feature three disciplines – Men’s Skateboard Park, Women’s Skateboard Park and BMX Park. The top six athletes in the men’s disciplines and the top four in Women’s Skateboard Park will also receive invites to Minneapolis.
ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC will televise a combined 18 hours of live X Games Minneapolis 2019 coverage, which will also be accessible via the ESPN App to viewers who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider. Eight and a half additional hours of event coverage will be streamed live on the X Games Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages to fans in the United States. Fans can get even more X Games content across digital offerings XGames.com, the X Games App and across social media pages. Following X Games Minneapolis 2019, ABC will deliver four hours of anthology programming on Saturday, August 10, as part of the World of X Games series as well as a one-hour Best of Show featuring highlights from both the sports and music on Saturday, August 17.
